In four phases, the site for the Heritage Museum was transformed into a regional stormwater demonstration garden. Kiosks throughout the site explain the various technologies on display including a rain garden, sand filter, cistern and green roof. The museum offers special programs for scouts and school children to learn about the environment through the gardens. The project has redefined the mission for the volunteer run museum and expanded their programs, membership, and visitations.
